Terms of Use
The rules for using this website, your account, the support system and the donation feature.
This document still contains placeholder details. Fill in shared/utils/legal.ts before making the site publicly available in the EU.
Scope
These terms govern your use of games.nethound.org and everything we offer through it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Browsing the public pages requires no account and no agreement beyond these terms. Creating an account, submitting a support request or making a donation requires your explicit acceptance at the point where you do it.
Who you are contracting with
The service is provided by the operator identified in the Legal Notice, which forms part of these terms.
Your account
An account is free. You choose a display name, give an email address and set a password of at least eight characters.
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it happens because of a failure on our side.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not pick a display name that is offensive or that suggests you are us.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your profile page. No email exchange, no waiting period, no retention deal.
Age
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If the law in your country sets a lower age for consent to information society services, that lower age applies, but never below 13.
If you are below the applicable age, you may use the account features only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
What you may not do
Use the site sensibly. Concretely, do not:
- Post unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content, or content infringing anyone's rights.
- Upload malware, or images that contain other people's personal data without their permission.
- Attempt to gain access to accounts, data or areas that are not yours, or to probe, scan or overload the service.
- Scrape, mirror or automatically harvest the site, or bypass the rate limits.
- Use the support system to send advertising, spam or bulk messages.
Content you submit
You keep all rights in the text and images you submit through the support system. You are responsible for having the right to submit them.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the site, answering your request and, where it is a bug report or a suggestion, fixing or building what you described. That licence lasts as long as your content is on the site and ends when it is deleted.
If you send us an idea or a feature suggestion, we may implement it. We are not obliged to, we owe you no payment or attribution for it, and we may already be working on something similar. If you are not comfortable with that, do not send it.
We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law. Where we do, we will tell you why, and you can contest the decision by replying to us.
Golden Tickets
Golden Tickets are a courtesy: a token of thanks we credit for donations and for genuinely useful reports. They are not money, not a voucher, not a security and not a cryptoasset.
They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, exchanged or cashed out, and confer no entitlement to any product, discount or service. Nothing on this site or in our games can be purchased with them.
We may change how they are awarded or displayed, and we may discontinue them, without owing you compensation. We will not take them away from you arbitrarily.
Donations
You may support a project with a voluntary donation. A donation is a gift. It buys nothing: you receive no goods, no digital content, no service, no game key, no early access and no promise about how a game will turn out.
The amount is yours to choose within the limits shown in the form. Payment is handled entirely by the payment provider named below, on its own site and under its own terms; we never see your card, bank or wallet details.
Because a donation is not a purchase, it is not refundable. If a payment was taken in error, taken twice, or taken without your authorisation, write to us and we will sort it out.
Donations are not tax-deductible. We are not a registered charity and issue no donation receipts for tax purposes.
Making a donation does not entitle you to influence the design, content or release schedule of any project.
- Payment provider
- YooMoney, NBCO LLC, Russia
- Currency
- Russian rouble (RUB). Your bank may apply its own conversion rate and cross-border fees, which are outside our control.
Consumer rights and withdrawal
Nothing on this site is sold to you. Accounts and support are free, and donations are gratuitous payments rather than contracts for goods or digital content. The 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU applies to distance contracts for goods and services and therefore does not attach to a donation.
This is not a waiver of your consumer rights, and it does not affect any mandatory statutory right you have under the law of your country of residence. If we ever start selling anything through this site, we will provide the full pre-contractual information and the withdrawal right before you pay.
Availability
This is a two-person project run alongside day jobs. The site is offered as it is and as available. We do not promise uptime, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including planned features listed on the roadmap.
Roadmaps and feature descriptions on this site are statements of intent, not commitments. Do not donate in reliance on any of them.
Our content
The site, the games, their names, artwork, screenshots, text and code are ours or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
You may link to the site freely, and you may use published screenshots and artwork to write or make videos about our games, with a credit. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever mandatory law imposes liability regardless of fault.
For slight negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation essential to the purpose of these terms, and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement.
Beyond that our liability is excluded. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or restricts your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the site at any time and delete your account from your profile page, which ends this agreement immediately.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms. Except where the breach makes it impossible, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of past donations, which were gifts.
Complaints and disputes
Please write to us first. Most things are a misunderstanding and get fixed in one email.
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025. We are not obliged to participate, and do not participate, in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms as the service changes. The version and effective date are shown at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will make it visible on the site before it takes effect, and continuing to use the site after that counts as acceptance. If you do not accept a change, delete your account.
